EXTEMIT-K scientist, Dr. Amit Roy, recently visited to the Genomics workshop 2018 at Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic as an alumni of the course work. Higher level scientific discussion on recent developments in metagenomic analysis pipelines and RNA seq study with the world-leading tool developers in the field of bioinformatics namely Brian H (https: //personal. broadinstitute.org/bhaas/), Daniel M (http://www.daniel-mcdonald.com/), Dag A (https:// www.biology. lu.se/dag-ahren), Scott H (Washington University School of Medicine), etc. was one of the main attractions of his eventful professional visit.
This year, the workshop has completed its successful 8 th year with participants (>50) from all over the world. Presently, it is recognized as one of the most popular course works in the field of genomics hosted yearly at Cesky Krumlov. Undoubtedly, this course work opens up opportunities for CZU researchers, especially EXTEMIT-K team members, improving their skills on high throughput “omics” analysis covering a broad area of research interest. Intriguingly, the organizing committee provides travel awards or special discounts on course fee for selected participants from year to year.
