The 6th International Multidisciplinary Conference for Young Researchers (MCYR) was held at the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU), on October 8–9, 2025. The event brought together emerging scientists and early-career researchers, including a member of the EXTEMIT-K research team. The overarching theme of this year’s conference, “Research Innovation to Action: Pathways Toward Resilience in a Risk-Prone World,” highlighted the critical role of research in addressing complex global risks, including forest pest outbreaks.
Organized by the BioResources and Technology Division (BRT) of the Faculty of Tropical AgriSciences, MCYR 2025 continued its tradition of fostering scientific exchange across a wide range of disciplines, including climate science, sustainability, technological innovation, biodiversity, agriculture, ecology, and social sciences. During the two-day conference, the EXTEMIT-K participant presented his research in the form of a poster titled “Selection of Candidate Verbenyl Ester-Forming and -Hydrolyzing Enzymes in Ips typographus (Linnaeus, 1758)” and benefited from valuable feedback and in-depth discussions with fellow researchers.
