Cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology in Jena, Germany

On February, members of the EXTEMIT-K, Dr. Anna Jirošová and PhD. students Kateřina Beránková and Rajarajan Ramakrishnan visited the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology in Jena, Germany. Our aim was to discuss our future common experiments and already existing results with publication potential. We had meeting with the head of the Department of Biochemistry, Professor Jonathan Gershenzon. It was very inspiring to discuss our ideas with such respected scientist and get some recommendations and contacts. We evaluated common data which we gained with Dr. Aleš Svatoš from MS/Proteomics group. And we planned coming season experiments with Dr. Dineshkumar Kandasamy from Plant-Pathogen Interactions research group. It was valuable to spent time in Max Planck Institute of CE in Jena and we are glad that we had the opportunity to establish this cooperation.
